Know Before You Go:

• A very dry and dusty trail, be sure to bring lots of water.

• It can be very windy along the top of the ridge so bring layers.

• This is a great place to see wildflowers in the summer and find wild strawberries!

• Visiting the observatory costs an additional $8 per person if you don't have an America the Beautiful pass.

• This hike is great to do early in the summer season when Mount Saint Helens still has some snow cover.
