Know Before You Go:

• Getting to the bottom of the falls requires a short but steep scramble which can be extremely slippery after rain. There is some rope provided - move slowly and choose your footing carefully.

• The US Forest Service highly discourages anyone from attempting to reach the base of the falls; proceed at your own risk.

• The pool at the base is a great swimming hole in the summer months.

• This is an easy stop to make before or after visiting the Umpqua Hot Springs.
