Know Before You Go:

• Purchase your pass or day-use fee before arriving at the trailhead. You can also stop to purchase them at the nearby ranger station on you way in.

• This hike is a great day trip option from Portland.

• A great spot to see rhododendron blooms in the early summer.

• On a clear day you’ll also be rewarded with views of Mount Adams in the distance.

• If you’d like to extend your hike you can continue on to McNeil Point.
