Know Before You Go:
- This is a very short, yet steep, hike that offers great views of the windward coast, specifically Kahana Bay, and the Ko'olau Range.
- Bring micro-spikes if hiking after a rainy day to give you extra traction in the mud.
- There are a couple assistive rope sections; gloves are not necessary but may help.
- When you come to the fork in the path, be sure to keep left as this ascent is easier than the one to the right.
- This trail is not maintained by the park and so is marked ‘closed’ but the trail is still relatively easy to follow. Proceed at your own risk.
