Know Before You Go:

A stone's throw away from the Waihe'e Ridge Trail, this hike brings you to the base of Makamaka'ole Falls.
The trail presents a unique set of challenges as you cross the Makamaka'ole Stream 13 times and pass through a bamboo forest!
Hiking poles with boots (or water shoes) are highly recommended as this hike is extremely slippery and regular hiking boots may not be enough.
Be aware, this area is prone to flash flooding.
