Start early to avoid crowds in the parking lot - the majority of the trail has fairly low traffic.
The Congress Trail portion has the most concentrated stands of Giant Sequoias.
The trail can be easily shortened to The Congress Trail or to see General Sherman, the largest tree in the park.
