Know Before You Go:

• Take the pull-offs on Seward Highway to see Lower and Upper Summit Lakes - if you are traveling south you will hit Lower Summit Lake first; the turn off for Upper Summit is just a little farther down the road.

• Songbirds and swans visit in the warmer months along with Dolly Varden and rainbow trout.

• Watch out for moose in the wetlands.

• There are cabin rentals in this area if you choose to stay the night.
