Walk down the unpaved, official trail to the tidal flats.
During salmon season, you can see fishermen wading in Resurrection Creek.
Be sure not to venture too far into the flats as these mud piles can feel like quicksand.
This area is in the small, quaint town of Hope with a population of under 100; it is one of Alaska’s first gold-rush towns.
