Know Before You Go:
- This 7 mile long lake is the largest lake in Chugach State Park. 
- Hike or mountain bike the 13 mile Lakeside Trail or kayak on the lake for a family-friendly activity. 
- If you’re feeling up for a challenge, hike 8.5 miles up to Pepper Peak via the Twin Peaks Trail. 
- During the winter months, ice skating on the lake is allowed. 
- This stunning spot is less than an hour’s drive from Anchorage.
