• There is one large river crossing that can be tricky when the river is full.

• Bring micro spikes if you’re hiking in shoulder season.

• Once you cross the river the trail can be tricky to follow - look for cairns and bring your offline map.

• Extend your hike to Bighorn Lake if you have the time.
