Know Before You Go:
- This trailhead starts directly on the road and is not well signed.
- You’ll be treated to some views of the surrounding mountains before heading into the trees.
- Be sure to download your offline map before heading to the trail, there is no service in this part of the park and the trail splits several times so a map may be handy.
- There are definite signs of heavy bear activity in the area - carry bear spray and bells, hike in groups and stay alert at all times.
- There is no bathroom at the trailhead but there is a pit toilet once you reach the lake at the top.
- Purchase your pass or day-use fee before arriving. You can pay online or in person at any of the Kananaskis Country Provincial Park Centres.
